This is a question I know you want an answer to, I do too.
Hello precious believer. Thank you for joining me this week I know for certain that the Holy Spirit is set to bless you. If you believe that, say a simple “Thank you Lord”.
“Where is Jesus?” is not a question that often comes to your mind, right? Me neither. Nonetheless, it has been brought up and so it must be answered.
Before I begin to disclose the “locations” of our Lord Jesus Christ, I want you to be reminded that I don’t, with any of my posts, intend to just inform or educate you. It is my intention that at the end, you must hold Grace on your right hand and an action point on your left. It is my intention that at the end, you are driven to a point of renewed allegiance and commitment to your Lover, Saviour and Master.
Where is Jesus?
This will be interesting but before I go into the scriptures to establish grace in your heart, let me lay some important foundations.
Understanding that Jesus Christ is full God and full Man is very important to believing the answer to the question of where Jesus is. Jesus is full God because He was always God from the beginning and remains God and He’s full man because He came to earth in human body, he suffered and died and was raised to life by the Holy Spirit. So He has a body, not just a form but an actual body, flesh and bones swallowed up in divinity and immortality. There are so many scriptures showing that after His resurrection, He proved to His disciples that He is still flesh and bones. Thomas touched Him, Jesus ate fish, Jesus ate bread, all these, after He resurrected. He also ascended in that same body. (Luke 24:37-39, Acts 1:9).
So now I will talk to you about the three current locations of Jesus and the last one will be my focus and what I want your focus to be on this post today.
1. BODILY LOCATION
Luke 24:50-51 (KJV)
“And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.”
The physical body of Jesus after resurrection by the Holy Spirit was swallowed up in divinity. It was now powered by the Holy Spirit. In this body, He ascended to heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father still by the same power of the Holy Spirit. Being conferred with the honor of being our great High Priest (for no one takes this honor upon himself), He lives to make intercessions for us.
Bodily speaking, Jesus is in Heaven!! He is carrying out His responsibilities there for you. Responsibilities that are able to keep you, here on earth, from falling, responsibilities that are able to, at the end, present you faultless, responsibilities that are able to save you totally (Hebrews 7:25).
Glory to Jesus!!! He lives to pray for those who come to God through Him. Many have their backs consistently on the ground because they don’t come through Him, many have their bones cracking from the grip of the devil because they come to God by their works. Why not repent and embrace the grace of Jesus today and make Him Lord and let Him pray for you.
2. DIVINE LOCATION
Matthew 28:20 (KJV)
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
The divine nature (that is, the God nature) of Jesus makes Him Omnipresent. I get readers from other countries and if they believe that Jesus is with them and I believe He is with me and we all know that this is true, doesn’t that make Jesus Omnipresent?
It is a God character to be everywhere at the same time, to fill all in all… Hmm.
Let me sound that this is not the same thing as Jesus dwelling in your heart by faith as spoken about in Ephesians 3. He said “with you”…. “with” not “in”… Am I therefore saying Jesus doesn’t dwell in the heart? Absolutely not. He does, as a matter of fact. He wants to make your heart His home and this brings me to the last place He is and has been for a while for some people.
3. PRACTICAL LOCATION
This refers to the believers everyday experience and that is why I call it practical location. It’s not practical for Him but for you. This is what I want you to always have at the back of your mind. This will bless you and make you walk daily in growth in the knowledge of God… The knowledge that comes from deep communion and intercourse.
Revelation 3:20 (KJV)
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Oh Yes!!! Oh yes, He is standing at the door of your heart, He’s standing at the door of your will, your ambitions, your choices, your drives, your purpose, your romantic relationship, your friendships, your priorities, He is standing at the door of your life and everything pertaining to it and He is diligently, lovingly, tirelessly knocking… Will you open up?
Many times we hear the gospel (not just the gospel that brings us into Christ. We have learnt the word doesn’t only bring us into but changes us into) and we are touched in our hearts so much that we invite Jesus over and when He comes, we live Him at the door. “What else does He want?” you say “at least I invited Him”, Oh yes you did but you left Him at the front door.
Many of us let Him in but restrict Him. He came to be Lord not commoner. He came to be Master over everything not slave. Will you open the door to every room? I’m so sure He has been knocking and you’ve been hearing that knock at the front door but you don’t want to open because you know that when He comes in, you’ll have to give all over to Him. You know He’s there, you know how His knock sounds like, you know how His voice of petition sounds like but you don’t know the divine being in person. For it is only when He sups with you that you know Him. The two gentlemen on the road to Emmaus did not recognize Him until He broke the bread, until He supped with them. Oh thank God they invited and insisted that He comes in.
Beloved, enough of knowing about Him, let us move on to knowing Him. Though it will cost us our seat as Lord over our own lives, though we will have to relinquish the throne to Him, let us move on to knowing Him, despite.
Listen to your spirit right now, it is bearing witness that you only invited Him but your entire life is shut against Him. Listen to your soul, it is dehydrated by the intense heat of empty religious activities, Look at your mind, its expectations when it sees you have invited the Living Water are always disappointed.
Why not let the Living Water flow into your life and heart today. Why not make a commitment today. Take a step further than invitation and actually surrender that thing that you’ve feared will be taken away from you if He comes in… He won’t take it from you, you’ll have to give it to Him. That’s how you open the door.
Let’s take that step today towards living with Jesus practically. Surrender it… Surrender them… And let the peace of the Living water wash and garrison your heart.
Shalom.
Someone needs this, therefore share.
Don’t forget to like and drop a comment. God bless you. I’ll write to you next week Friday.
