Ye Are God’s

Hello precious Readers. I never take it for granted when you come here to read.

Today, just as usual, I will be sharing the word of God with you. Today’s topic is an offshoot of what I shared last week; Ye are gods.

After last week’s post, I had an interesting conversation with one of the readers and it blessed me. Sometimes we find ourselves swimming in the cool river of what is common without taking out time to check if the water is hygienic.

Last week, I presented to you the truth that we were not called gods (we here referring to believers). It’s not our fault that we find this convenient. It makes a lot of sense especially after understanding the great works Jesus and his Apostles did. We assume that for you to be able to work such great works, you must be a god. I also believe this crusade to present the believer as a god (maybe from a good motive) only glorifies the believer. Makes him look like a god in his own right, without control but does whatever he pleases because the power and authority has been given to him by Jesus whom they believe. That’s nowhere near the gospel.

This, however, is true, “Ye are God’s” ; we must humble ourselves under the hand of God and let Him lift us.

This is something many don’t know and many others don’t want to come to terms with. Man was designed to live from within (the body only does what is within). His spirit is not independent, it is inspired… A man’s spirit/mind must be inspired, must be governed. You might say what about my will power, your will power is to choose who you will follow. Your will power is to choose who will be your master, God or mammon, life or death… Do you see that?

Let me reiterate it… Your will doesn’t make you independent, it gives you the ability to choose. You must be governed. Let’s read this long scripture and continue from there.

Romans 6:16 (KJV)
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

From the very beginning man has always been governed. First it was by God’s command until they yielded to the enticement of Satan. Can you see the scripture above explains this?

My aim is not to explain the “ye are gods” statement all over again but to further present to you the truth of you being God’s own possession and everyday you must submit yourself to be His slave… Some of you don’t appreciate that word “slave”. I wish you understood that true freedom is under a good master.

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

Listen brethren, God didn’t save you from the grasp of Satan so you can live for yourself as your own boss. No sir! No sir!! Look at this scripture down here:

Romans 6:17-18 (KJV)
“But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

You are not your own master!!! I speak to the free thinkers especially… Share this with any free thinker you know. There’s no such thing as that, it’s all deception. The devil makes you feel in control but he is behind your control… Did you get that?… The devil is behind your control.

Believers, don’t fall into the trap of thinking you are in control. Yes, you are in control but remember your control must and will be controlled so I advise that you use your control to choose who controls… Daily!

Let me put that advice in scriptural language…

Romans 6:19 (KJV)
“I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.”

Daily brethren, daily, choose to be God’s. Daily choose His control.
