Ye Are God’s Indeed

Hello dear friend. Thank you for coming here to read this week’s post. I know you’ll be blessed.

Last week, I was to continue with the “Ye are God’s” topic that has turned into a series (I hope this will end it) but I got caught in my testimony. This week, I’ll be writing to you from a different perspective of being God’s.

You can read the last two topics of the series by tapping on the topics as arranged in the order they were posted; Ye are gods and Ye are God’s .

The living being, Man, chases after preservation of self. He pursues security with every strength he has… Financial security, marital security, life and property security, job security, future security, etc. The security I’m talking about is not protection but assurance and confidence… You know, Having it as all you need…as the assurance for a fulfilled life

Sadly, the living being only finds assurance and confidence in “bread”… “living by bread alone“. They search for this security and assume it is found in us – in our strength and wisdom or in the exalting of our status and stature so that this security will be within our power. It is not so!!! Even more sadly is that believers also live like this, using “spiritual principles” for self-preservation. When self ought to be crucified daily… When we’ve been asked to give our lives to Christ and we say we have… If we surrender to Jesus daily, our only confidence will be Him, His word (precepts, commands, promises).

Listen to me adelphoi, your security is in Christ Jesus, in God. And, hear me, you are secure!!!

Today’s post is not about you actually making a decision to live His life for Him (yeah, it’s His life) but to show you that He has also sworn to be your shepherd because you are His. I want to show you that though you may look naked, unsure and insecure because you’ve left all to live for Him. Though you have “lost your life for His sake”, you’ve actually just saved it and found it.

Matthew 6:25,31-32 (KJV)
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?…
…Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

Look at the scriptures above. For me, today, the emphasis is on “…for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of these things”. Say to yourself, mentioning your name, “Rowland, God knows. He is well aware and He has made provision for me”. God is committed to give you hope and lead you to an expected finish.

Will you actually live for Him? Will you make decisions for Him? Will you say “Lord, I don’t know how to live for you, help me“? Will you pick up your Bible and trust the Holy Spirit to reveal His life in you? Will you stop hiding the lamp under the Bushel of “we have to survive”?

Listen to me, let me digress a little, you may be wondering why I kept using “living being” as I started writing. That’s because the living being lives for himself… You have received the life giving Spirit and you’re born by Him. I don’t know if I want to go further into this today.

I want you to know that you’re God’s possession and He’s jealous over you. scattered all over scriptures are His promises to take care of you, to provide for you, to keep you safe, to guide you to all Truth and destiny, to be with you in dark times. This is all because you’re the sheep of His pasture and He is your shepherd.

For this reason dear adelphoi, be of good cheer, live for Him, serve His purposes as He wants it, how He wants it, when He wants it and do it intentionally even if it costs your life. Let your eye be single knowing you can’t serve two masters. Let it be on serving Him and not you. Then you’ll see your life being used to bring others into life… The life giving Spirit working in and through you.

God is so much for you that He gives you grace to do His will. He works in you to desire and do it. He doesn’t live you to struggle over what He knows you can’t do.

Shalom to you and yours in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for reading today. Don’t forget to share this post to transform your brothers and sisters. A like and a comment will be encouraging.
