Hello, it’s another wonderful Friday and I believe you’ve come here for a purpose which is to be blessed by the word of God.
Last week I didn’t post rather I referred my readers to this post because of what I have to write to you today.
I desire that my post today stirs up the right desire in you, hence causing you to call out to God in prayer. It may be short but may it pierce your heart. Amen.
1 John 1:1 (KJV)
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;”
Now, I believe the Apostle John meant it literally when he said “our hands have handled“. Before and after the resurrection of Jesus, the disciples touched Jesus and spoke and ate and heard Him.
Today however, I want to channel your mind to the spiritual side of that statement. The spiritual side doesn’t make it less literal, true or real. Let’s look at another passage of the scriptures.
Acts 3:6 (KJV)
“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
You see, each time I read the part that says “such as I have” I always read it in light of the “silver and gold”. Peter talked about his tangible grasp on Jesus the same way the gold from the coin from the fish’s mouth was tangible to him. As real as having gold and silver (money) was to Peter, even more was the reality of having the power and the presence of Jesus with him.

Listen, Peter was not trying to apply the name of Jesus. He wasn’t seeing if it’ll work. He knew it beyond his senses that the name would raise the man to his feet.
Please, notice that my attention is not on the miracle, it’s on the tangibility or reality of Christ Jesus to these men.
Adelphoi, I want to touch Him… What I mean is that I want him to be real to me not so I can go around raising people but so I become more and more like Him.
It’s a new year and goals are right before you. I can bet that Jesus is not the center… Notice what I said, I didn’t say “Jesus is not at the center” I said “Jesus is not the center”.
Let me put it straight out there; stop trying to make money, stop trying to be the youngest achiever. Rather, seek the tangibility of Christ in your life.
I hope you take some time to pray, surrendering your goals and picking that goal of knowing Christ with all the senses of your spirit that the end of your life’s testimony be “that which was in the beginning, which I heard, which I saw, which I spent my life looking upon and I handle of the word of life…”
Thank you for joining me today… Don’t stop seeking God alone.
