What Shall We Say To These Things?

Today’s post is simply for your meditation and repentance… I guess every post is about that. LOL

Why is our faith always referenced in the past tense, don’t we know yesterday’s faith can not save today?

We prophesy greatness about our nation and the rising of men but we do everything within our power to escape the hardship by fleeing to another nation. Maybe we’re not part of the men.

Oh, we speak high sounding words of faith in our prayer meetings and on our social media posts but God regards our ordinary conversations as the test and revealer of the faith or otherwise in our heart. What do we say when chatting with friends?

We ignore the will of God concerning sexual purity but seek the will of God concerning who to marry. We don’t care about His will, we only want a spiritual affirmation for our own fleshly desire.

We are quick to counsel with, pray for and lay hands on others but we are not so fast to forsake our satisfaction and comfort for the sake of love.

We believe in a God who can provide our needs but we hope He provides all we’ll need for life today so we are assured of tomorrow. We believe more in the physical provision than the ever present nature of God and living nature of His word.

This is what we will say to these things:

Psalms 139:23-24 (KJV)
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
