Daylight Robbery

God bless you as you always come here to read. I hope you’re being blessed and changed. Today’s letter will be short but I believe it will change you. Amen.

Will a man rob God?

Yes a man can rob God. As a matter of fact, we always rob God.

Oh no, your tithes and offerings are not what I want to talk about.

We rob God of glory. We rob God of His pleasure.

We sometimes rob God of those He has come to save.

John 12:32-33 (KJV)
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.”

I added the 33rd verse so as to make clear what the verse 32 was talking about contextually. It was simply talking about how our Lord Jesus Christ would die. A death by crucifixion was how all men would be saved. He had to be lifted high enough for all to see him on that pole like Moses did to the brazen serpent in the wilderness.

Although “if I be lifted up” meant the kind of death He’d die, the spirit of those words are to still work today.

Jesus Christ cannot die again. However, His death, His resurrection, His name and His glory can continually be lifted up that He may draw men to Himself.

This is how we rob Jesus. We lift up ambitions, we lift up doctrines of men, we lift up denominations, we lift up own ideas of God’s kingdom, we lift up the wisdom of the world and back them up with scriptures and we have gotten so insensitive to the call of God to lift Him up first in our lives then to the world that all men may be saved.

Let me say that again...

Lift the word of God up in your own life then all men will see Him lifted up in Glory and come to the one who hung on the pole.

Exalt the commands of God in your life. Though death is at work in your members, His spirit will quicken them. This is your light, this is how it shines. Your light is Christ not your expertise.

God will be seen when we are distinguished. We are not distinguished because we’re better at our jobs than others, no sir. Chances are that someone is probably preferred but you are diligent. How you are distinguished is by following the teachings of the Lord Jesus with all your heart.

This is how we rob God. We who are called by His name do not follow His name. By this, we steal men’s souls from Him.
