The last post I made was about you being separate and this post, is to tell you about the fact that God is separate and the implication of this.

In the faith to which we’ve been called, there are a number of disciplines that are to be learnt. Many believers are quick to learn disciplines that are not actually in the list of the important disciplines of the faith. We are quick to learn disciplines that only give us a sense of godliness.
Top on the list of disciplines that believers must learn… and that “must” is a very big “MUST”… is the discipline of knowing that God is separate. He is holy!!
In my opinion based on inference, I believe this is the first discipline we should learn and I truly believe it is… But that’s just my opinion.
We must learn to separate God!
What does this mean?
Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
A person is defined by their ideologies. No matter how great your ideologies are, they do not match God’s. No matter your intent, they cannot be as pure as God’s. Your methods and patterns definitely can’t be as straight as His.
Isaiah 55:8-9 does the work of explaining to us what it means for God to be separate. He’s different. His thoughts are past finding out. You can not assume God’s way.
If you remember, Jesus called the disciples to be with Him first. He poured the mind of God through words into them. Oh! My friend let us leave our childish ways and become disciples indeed and not wait for “when the kingdom will be restored to Israel”.
Eventually, we will have to give up our ideas, our ambitions and our intentions of following God.
The way of God is learnt and he who seeks it, it is revealed when such a one is dedicated to being separate unto God. That is, in doing and following the way of God.
Today’s topic completes the last post… You are only separate not when you’re different but when you choose and learn God’s ways. That is, being separate unto God.
The way of God is always revealed through the ministry of His thoughts that He has spoken (Scriptures). It’s not the letters written really, it is the spirit of it.
Let me just add this, when you go to scriptures, seek to know the person not the principles. It’s in the knowledge of the person that you are renewed and then you can know, daily, what is the good, perfect and acceptable will of God.
Listen friend, you must live a life that hallows God in all matters. A life that is separate unto a separate God. Hence, “Be ye holy for your Father in heaven is Holy“. You only do this by being a disciple of God. Learning His ways.
Let me summarize this with the same portion of scriptures.
Isaiah 55:6-9 (KJV)
“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Do not think for one moment that you’re not the wicked and the unrighteous. Anyone who has not subscribed to the ways of God is wicked and unrighteous.
