So many many many many many and yet many many more things are working together to make sure you take your hands off that plough but I tell you, no matter what,
Keep your hands on that gospel plough!
I’m really trusting God to encourage you and bless your heart through this post
It may be short though
Hebrews 12:1-2 (KJV)
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Listen adelphoi, the hope of our salvation is not spoken about enough.
The gospel is a message of hope.
We speak a lot about Dos and Don’ts. We speak about sin and holiness, which are all good but we rarely speak about our hope.
There’s something the hope of our salvation does to us. It gives us strength to continue and to cleanse ourselves of all defilement of flesh and of spirit.
Randy Alcorn said “Christianity is not all about sin management“. I believe this to be true. As a matter of fact, I do not think that’s your duty.
Written and depicted all over scriptures, over and again, is the imperative to continue gazing on our Lord Jesus Christ. Not because he’s a “beaut” but because of the hope He presents.
Intentionally, I used Hebrews 12:1-2 so I can explain to you that even the part of laying aside weight and sin does not come before fixing our gaze. Our gaze must have been fixed and doesn’t stop being fixed. How do I know this? Check Hebrews 11 from verse 1.
You will see that from the first verse of Hebrews 11, hope and faith are spoken about and it goes on giving us examples of those who had this hope in them and things they did because of the hope then it comes to chapter 12 and says we should not stop gazing.
Keep the eyes of your heart fixed on only one person and one thing. Jesus and the hope He gives.

Could the sin spoken about there in verse 1 chapter 12 be the sin of unbelief??
Just asking…
Because, you see, the beginning of the book of Hebrews, in fact, the entire book of Hebrews is to remind the people about the new covenant and the writer started early in the book to tell us how some people were destroyed because of their unbelief and didn’t enter into their rest (chapter 3).
Brothers and sisters, no matter what, no matter why, never stop putting your hope on the one who is able to save to the uttermost.
No matter where you look, never stop gazing on the one who is able to save your soul from sin and your body from corruption.
No matter where you turn, never stop running to the one who is the author and perfecter of faith.
You may cry, you may bleed, you may even lose a body part but by all means keep your gaze forward and keep your hands on that plough.
Hold on!! For He who began a good work in you is able to complete it and perfect it.
God bless you. You may want to read it again.
